What Happens If Implant Treatment Is Delayed?

Some patients prefer to live with missing teeth for many years because they cannot predict the negligence or future situations that will occur in the future after tooth extraction. In fact, although the patient has difficulties in terms of aesthetics, chewing disorders, and pronunciation problems, he ignores them.
However, there are also problems that the patient cannot see and that arise over time; In time, the teeth on both sides of the gap caused by the missing tooth become warped towards the gap and there are openings between the healthy teeth. At the same time, since there is no stimulation to the jawbone in the part of the missing tooth, there is loss of bone. The longer the time after tooth extraction, the more these losses increase. Even implant treatment may become impossible.
For this reason, if a tooth has been lost for any reason, you should contact your dentist and start the treatment before irreversible damage occurs.
