During the planning stage of implant treatment in the edentulous mouth, two different aspects should be considered, namely intraoral and extraoral factors.
1. Extraoral Factors:
- Smile line
- Appearance of teeth
- Facial support
2. Oral Factors:
- Bone density
- Distance between jaws
- Relationship between the jaws
- Gingiva (gingivitis)
