2000
- 2000 yılında Uzman Doç. Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker, diş hekimliği eğitimine Türkiye'nin Başkenti Ankara'da bulunan Hacettepe Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi'nde başladı ve buradan başarıyla mezun oldu.
2008
- 2008 yılında Kuzey Kıbrıs'ta Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Periodontoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda Araştırma Görevlisi olarak çalıştı ve 2007 yılında kurucu kadrolardan biri oldu.
2012
- 2012 yılında doktora tezini tamamlayarak T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı Periodontoloji Anabilim Dalı'ndan "Doktora ve Bilim Doktoru", "Periodontoloji Uzmanı" unvanlarını aldı.
2012
- 2012 yılında Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Periodontoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda Yardımcı Doçent olarak görev yaptı ve bu fakültenin kuruluş aşamasında görev aldı. Halen sürdürmekte olduğu lisans ve yüksek lisans düzeyinde klinik ve örgün eğitim verdiği Eğitim Fakültesi kadrosuna da atandı.
2022
- Üniversitedeki klinik ve akademik çalışmalarının yanı sıra 2022 yılında Doçent oldu ve bu tarihten itibaren Antalya Dentarma Türkiye Diş Estetiği ve İmplantoloji Kliniğinde klinik çalışmalarına devam etmektedir.
Yurt içi ve yurt dışı saygın bilimsel dergilerde 30'un üzerinde makalesi, ulusal ve uluslararası kongrelerde 50'den fazla bildirisi bulunmaktadır.
Mesleki ilgi alanları arasında dental implant cerrahisi, peri-implantitis diş eti cerrahi tedavileri, diş eti hastalıkları ve tedavileri ve lazer uygulamaları yer almaktadır.
Protetik Diş Tedavisi Uzmanı Prof.Dr. ile evlidir. Emre Şeker'den bir oğlu ve bir kızı var.
